Quality Protection

Once machined all our timbers are allowed to air dry down between 28% and 36% moisture content. This ensures that when they are then pressure preservative treated within our own on-site facilities all our timbers receive the most effective long term protection available. Using Tanalith® E, the latest generation wood preservative, our timbers and finished timber products will have a long and maintenance free life, fully protected against all forms of decay and insect attack.

Treatment certificates confirming the relevant protection for the timber can be supplied on request. We also offer an efficient treatment service, by prior arrangement, for customers’ own timbers.

A. Brush or spray treatments achieve little penetration. A crack in the timber will by-pass the treated zone.

B. Tanalith® E treated timber is treated right through the vulnerable sapwood area.
